Move

Today marks our third week in Santiago. Any longer and flashbacks of Austin would soon surface. The past week has sludged by and tomorrow we push forward beyond the Andes. Natural splendors and the ever affordable Argentina await. The dinosaur of a camera I brought refuses to cooperate with the modern day computer, and is liable to meets its end before this journey expires. Our coordinates are set away from the cities, toward the open road and any piece earth fit for a tent.

Fashion of Santiago

In typical fashion, I`ve come to blog totally unprepared. No surprise to those well acquainted with my flair for the thirteenth hour. It`s not to say that I really "come into my own" then but usually the only time I allow myself to work on a given project. Documentation of this journey will be no different. Quip here. Quip there. Rhetorical rhetorical rhetorical. Animals? No way! Here is a modest list of Vegan treats we`ve come across along the way. Pictures? Deleted them before I even got the chance to upload them. Donc.....

Santiago could be encapsulated in a snow globe. The city is surrounded by gorgeous mountains (some even capped off with snow). If my nine to five is to take Santiago and shake it up with my coffee in the morning to cover the city in a serene blanket of snow...that snow would be smog. Smog drowns out the picture-esque view we should be having on the fourteenth floor apartment in the city center. A total smog globe with a mountain mirage made clear only when the pollution has settled for the weekend. Sunday`s sight is almost hard to believe. We took the opportunity to spend our day of clarity atop Cerro Santa Lucia. Not that I needed a pristine view of the city to notice the top two activities in a Santiago park: Eating Ice Cream and Necking.
