Rusted Bicycle Association of New England

A seaside photograph of The Golden Flash in the rain with a flat tire. You don't need a close up to believe the rust is there. The presence of wind and salt water are your leap of faith.

Dog gangs and mystic mountains

Spent this past weekend in Capilla del Monte. Hung out with Shorty and his dog crew (Big Body and Scrambled Legs) and made it to the summit of Cerro Uritorco. A laid back zone with enough vegan sustenance and resident weirdos to give living there a second thought. The small towns have been the most enjoyable so far. We then bussed for close to 24 hrs (with a 3 hr stop in Rosario) just over the border into Uruguay. Actually we were dropped over exactly at the border and walked to Fray Bentos 8 kilometers down the road. This was at 4:30am. Weeks of beaches and coast line to come.

Move

Today marks our third week in Santiago. Any longer and flashbacks of Austin would soon surface. The past week has sludged by and tomorrow we push forward beyond the Andes. Natural splendors and the ever affordable Argentina await. The dinosaur of a camera I brought refuses to cooperate with the modern day computer, and is liable to meets its end before this journey expires. Our coordinates are set away from the cities, toward the open road and any piece earth fit for a tent.
